As you might already have guessed, we are not talking about the constructor and captain of the famous arch. N.O.H.A. (stands for Noise Of Human Art) are Mancunian singer Sam Leigh-Brown, the New Yorker MC Chevy, and saxophonist and producer Philip Noha from Prag, presenting their third album.

The switch from a major label with clearly set goals on successful chart positions to an indie label with open ears for musical variety has quickened the development of the album. With the help of various guest musicians such as Slovakian trumpeter Laczo Deczi and bassist Cap Gier, the band presents a mixture of perfect club sound, some jazz elements, catchy pop songs and sporadic rap attacks. One can see how good they feel in the club context, if one has a look at their countless performances with DJs such as Arman van Helden, Goldie, JMaiik, Malachai from The Herbalizer or Andy Smith from Portishead.
The song “Next Plateau” is rather a down tempo track and was originally based on a Bela Barthok sample. But as the family of the famous composer never allows any adaptation or usage of his pieces, the track had to be completely rearranged, and the diamond in a rough was transformed into a jewel.
